We’re developing our handling collection so smaller hands can explore real, authentic historic objects without being told off for touching – we believe it’s the best way to experience history, with your supervision of course.
In Reception we have kids’ tours of the town, a museum quiz tour and we’re planning to expand our range of gifts and souvenirs, too.
Torrington Museum encourages young visitors to look, explore and ask questions: that’s why we’re here, after all and we don’t mind if you’re a little noisy so long as it’s not spoiling other people’s visits. We don’t say ‘shush!’ here.
